The brand will be introducing a new special package, called Golf GTI 380, which will come standard on every 2024 Golf GTI ordered with a manual transmission. This will be the last year for production of the manual GTI, and VW wants to make it memorable by offering some fantastic new upgrades, including new wheels, glossy black accents, and a new color option. The GTI 380 will also include summer tires and the DCC adaptive damping system.
“We made the GTI 380 package as a tribute to our dedicated fans who have always supported the manual GTI for over four decades,” said Petar Danilovic, Senior VP of Volkswagen of America.
Volkswagen’s latest model, the GTI 380, pays tribute to its past by using the internal model code from its 2002 GTI 337 special edition. Available in three different trims, all models come with a sleek black roof, matching mirror caps, and shiny 19-inch alloys from the Golf R 20th Anniversary Edition.
Plus, you can drive off in a unique Graphite Gray Metallic color exclusive to the GTI 380. It may not be the most exceptional edition, but it certainly looks the part.
The GTI 380 has announced their newest palette featuring Deep Black Pearl, Atlantis Blue Metallic, Kings Red Metallic, Reflex Silver Metallic, Moonstone Gray, and Opal White Pearl. And for the ultimate comfort, the Autobahn trim now offers Vienna leather upholstery as an added extra. Although no major performance upgrades have been made, VW is making a bold move by making this the last Golf GTI with a six-speed manual transmission.
If you’re ready to get behind the wheel, the GTI 380 will be available for purchase in fall 2023 with prices starting at $32,485 for the S, $37,285 for the SE, and $40,625 for the Autobahn.s
