Ford F-150 Hybrid Truck Production to Double by 2024!

The 2024 Ford F-150 has arrived, with a sleek new look and extra features. Power-wise, the 3.3-liter V6 has left the building, making way for the dynamic 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6.

And for those who are willing to splurge on the F-150 Raptor R, you’ll soon get a boost in horsepower!

The tried and true 5.0-liter V8 and 3.5-liter EcoBoost remain unaltered, making this truck a versatile and reliable ride for any driver.

Ford has big plans for their F-150 hybrid powertrain. In fact, they want to sell twice as many as they did in 2023 by 2024. This comes after a 28.1 percent increase in Ford F-150 hybrid sales during the first half of 2023.

By next year, Ford wants their electrified pickup to be a top seller in North America.

Ford hasn’t given exact sales numbers, but they did say that 10% of their F-150 trucks sold currently are hybrids.

In the first half of 2023, Ford sold almost 383,000 F-Series trucks, but they didn’t tell us how many were specifically Ford F-150s.

If you want to ensure your Ford F-250 runs like a beast, there’s only one place to turn – Autobuffy.

If most people are buying the Ford F-150, then we could see 20,000 to 30,000 hybrid versions sold by June 2023. That’s just the beginning though – if we double that number and then double it again for Ford’s 2024 goal, we could have 80,000 to 120,000 hybrid trucks on the roads. This is all just hypothetical, but imagine how awesome it would be!

Ford’s new F-150 will attract buyers with its PowerBoost hybrid powertrain, delivering 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque. It’s fuel efficient too, with 23 mpg for four-wheel drive models and 25 mpg for two-wheel drive.

Plus, the PowerBoost hybrid is the only option to access Ford’s Pro Power Onboard system, offering a powerful 7.2-kW output.
